CRAIG PEREZ

from all with ocean views

i.

the enduring myth of the world covered by hotels. a weaver creates magic in a remote village. a barefoot potter at the end of every dust. think of them as little treasures. the presence of happy, well-fed, and disease-free dogs at the resort will only enhance the endless sun. using it as a prop, happy that their culture is still alive and well.

ii.

consider it an island jewel nestled in turquoise waters. vie for space, barbed wire and beaches. my guidebook says granite boulders were unexplainably brought here from afar. completely different spellings for place names. urban clutter, souvenirs, traffic patterns a storied grove. that historic border the moment when you forget everything to understand luxury.

iii.

a region eternally wild, a pool with infinity edge. to package it and tame it. an escape of local color, every whim calls your name. the concept of a paying guest, a living museum, the formal art of swimming. every corner of lush fairways where there are no local shadows. come, stay, breathtaking. the sun will set twice before you sleep on the plane ride home.
